The Patrum Lumen Sustine Foundation (PLuS), founded in Basel in 2016 and dedicated to the study and preservation of the cultural heritage of Europe, in 2024 presents two major innovations: the establishment of new funding schemes and the launch of the foundation's website (www.patrumlumensustine.ch). These allow the foundation to fulfil its purpose in a more comprehensive and sustainable way.
PLuS is launching a series of public calls for postdoctoral research fellowships as well as for conference funding and support of publications. Endowed with a monthly grant of €1,800 for two years, the research fellowships are offered in four categories. Applications for fellowships under the heading of "Archaeology of the Sacred and of Cultic Practice" and "Key Concepts of Greco-Roman Culture and their Reception" are now open, and fellowships in two further categories will be advertised in 2025. Applications for funding for conferences and publications will open in the second half of 2024. All applications must be submitted online via the Foundation's application form. Further information as well as the detailed calls for applications can be found on the PLuS website:

We kindly ask colleagues to bring this information to the attention of interested parties.
An overview of currently funded projects can be found on the foundation's website:

Information on a new set of initiatives, such as further publications with the De Gruyter and archaeological excavations in collaboration with the Pontifical Commission for Sacred Archaeology in the Year of Jubilee 2025, will be released shortly under News: https://patrumlumensustine.ch/en/news-custom-2/
